Our current church building, located at 801 North Kingston Avenue, was constructed to accommodate the expanding congregation of Rockwood Methodist Church who had quickly outgrown their Rockwood Avenue facilities. Mrs. Belle Molyneux donated property for the new building, and the ground breaking was held on October 13, 1963. An extensive building campaign was carried out and the new Rockwood Methodist Church formally opened on August 2, 1964.
Rockwood Untied Methodist Church currently offers a variety of programs to serve our congregation and community including: Sunday School, Worship Services, Music/Choir Program, and Youth Fellowship.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday and is followed by Worship at 11:00 a.m. A friendly caring membership gives all those in attendance the feeling of being needed and supported by Christian love. An open invitation is extended to any person seeking a loving church home.
Choir meets on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. We welcome all who wishes to make a joyful noise unto the Lord and contribute to our worship services.
